金庸Jin Yong

Jin Yong (1924-2018), originally named Zha Liangyong, native of Haining City, Zhejiang Province, and moved to Hong Kong in 1948. He is a contemporary writer of martial arts novels, a journalist, an entrepreneur, a political critic, a social activist, and is known as one ofthe "Four Great Talents in Hong Kong".

金庸（1924-2018），本名查良镛，生于浙江省海宁市，1948年移居香港。他是当代武侠小说作家、新闻学家、企业家、政治评论家、社会活动家，被誉为“香港四大才子”之一。

Jin Yong's choice of the era background of the works also serves the shaping of the novel's content and characters. Throughout Jin Yong's literary works, almost all historical backgrounds are placed in turbulent times, since turbulent times can better reflect the heroic pride of characters. "Serving the country and the people" is the highest pursuit of knights. "Keeping loyal and devoted to the last" is their final destination, which is the sublimation of the spiritual realm of chivalry.

Jin Yong's novels are filled with the exploration of historical significance and value. Through shaping the enmity between the martial arts sects, between people, between religions and the secular, between orthodoxy and cult,between countries and nations, and between dynasties in his novels, he finally created various tragedies of different individuals, schools, countries, nations,churches, and dynasties. In essence, Jin Yong attempts to deconstruct negative values and promote positive values by expressing strong tragic feelings in his novels. His books are full of strong patriotic feelings.

金庸所创作的小说中无处不体现了对历史意义及价值的探寻。他通过在小说中塑造武林门派之间、人与人之间、宗教与世俗之间、正统与邪教之间、国家民族之间以及朝代与朝代之间的恩恩怨怨，最终造就了不同个人、门派、国家、民族、教派、朝代的各种悲剧。从本质上来说，金庸正是企图通过在小说中抒发强烈的悲剧情怀，旨在达到解构负面价值、弘扬正面价值的效果，书中充满浓厚的家国情怀。

Jin Yong has been in love with China all his life. Bearing morality with iron shoulders and writing essays with clever hands, he pioneered a new school of martial arts novels and is well-known in the Chinese community at home and abroad. He supported the country's reform and opening up, supported the "one country, two systems" policy, enthusiastically participated in the drafting of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and contributed political wisdom to the design of the political system of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the maintenance of Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability.

金庸先生一生情系中华，以铁肩担道义，以妙手著文章，开创新派武侠小说先河,享誉海内外华人社会。他支持国家改革开放，拥护“一国两制”方针，热忱参与香港特别行政区基本法起草，为香港特别行政区政治体制设计、保持香港长期繁荣稳定，贡献了政治智慧。
